The iPhone 15’s dynamic island notch.

The iPhone 15 will have a “dynamic island notch,” while the Pro variants will have revolutionary display technology.

With significant updates, including the adoption of a universal Type-C port for charging and a new notch design for the ordinary iPhone 15 model, Apple is getting ready to introduce its next-generation iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro handsets.

  • The Dynamic Island notch, which changes in size in response to notifications, will be present on the iPhone 15.
  • Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 15 models will have a universal Type-C connection in place of the Lightning port for charging.
  • The iPhone 15 Pro versions will have a redesigned notch design and could have a programmable “Action Button.”

The Dynamic Island notch, which debuted on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, will reportedly be added to this year’s iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The selfie camera cutout and Face ID sensors are hidden by Dynamic Island, an oval notch at the top of the screen. The notch can, however, change in size in response to notifications. Gurman claims that the same capability will soon be available for the iPhone 15 series in his most recent Power for newsletter.

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, on the other hand, will have a redesigned notch design. According to the newsletter, a novel manufacturing technique called low-injection pressure over-moulding, or “LIPO” as it is known internally at Apple, will be used to produce the Pro and Pro Max screens.

The Apple Watch Series 7 was the first gadget to employ LIPO technology, which reduced the thickness of the device’s edges and enlarged the display. With the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro, Apple wants to deliver a nearly bezel-less appearance.

The email also notes that, like the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro series will be easy to fix. This year, the corners might go sharper to accommodate a bolder design. According to Gurman, the standard iPhone 15 models will continue to use the A16 Bionic chipset from last year, while Pro phones will switch to a faster 3-nanometer chip. Recently, MacRumors learned that the Pro models have a “Action Button” that can be programmed. Users will be able to create shortcuts using this button. With the click of this button, users may easily access accessibility features like Assistive Touch or switch to Focus mode, such as Do Not Disturb.

Potential price increases could result from the new chipset and features. A significant price increase is anticipated for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max variants. The price of the iPhone 15 Pro may rise to $1,099 from the $999 of the previous model year. With a price hike of $300 from the US market to India, Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 Pro. Thus, instead of costing Rs. 99,900, the price of the model from last year is now Rs. 1,29,900.
